Life has a way of changing... in a moment. The last time I blogged, I was sitting in a 420 ft cottage near the Pacific Ocean. Trying to find my way in a new and lonely place. I eventually utilized my skills and gifts, but it became apparent that this wasn't the place God wanted us to stay. I won't go into the particulars, but God moved us back to Lacey, WA.
I now look at the world with an amazing freedom! My house looks much bigger! It has more potential. I have redecorated my dining area into a parlor-type room for guests. Burnt orange and green-teal is the color theme and is warm and inviting.
I now sit at my computer and see out into a garden area (although it is winter, and not that attractive at present!) with a bird feeder right by the window with many species of birds gathering. They are fun to watch as they eat and fuss at each other!
I love getting together with friends to catch up. I have been so lonely, and missing the deep and abiding fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ. I've missed warm hugs and true concern. That feeling of Christ-like fondness.
Now I find myself with a new spurt of growth! Like Spring in the middle of Winter! I have the energy to work in a new place and cultivate new friends. To get involved in church and feel I can dream again.
God has taught me a lot over the past 2 years. Nothing is wasted in God's economy. He uses it all! So I have grown and learned.
But it's good to be home!
